Hi Guys,

System Specs before I get started

  • Intel Core i5 2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.70GHz
  • 64 Bit Windows 7 Professional
  • 24GB RAM
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 TI

I Have an intel core i5 2500K and was wondering if my idle temps were good or bad, I currently have a stock cpu cooler but am expecting a new one from Takealot on Wednesday next week - (Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler)

I have "5" 120mm fans currently in a Zalman Z3 Plus Case.

My CPU temps are as follows:

Core 0: 41°C
Core 1: 40°C
Core 2: 39°C
Core 3: 40°C

They seem to vary between 39°C - 49°C when idling.

The temps I have listed above are what I am currently getting while using "Chrome and SpeedFan". There are a few other programs open in the background such as Dropbox, antivirus etc;

The "Temp 3" is 127°C as is does not exist according to online forums.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers!

Temps are similar, but I don't get the 127 anomaly.

Also my fans are running far slower.
