intel dp35dp sigmatel problems

Just did a fresh install of xpsp3 on my old pc which has the intel dp35dp mobo and sigmatel audio built in.

Problem is i cannot get any drivers to work for the sigmatel.
I've checked the bios, updated the bios, installed the latest drivers from intel and i still have an unrecognised "multimedia device"

anyone managed to get this working or have any idea what's going on?
 
Yes, installed those, now the HD audio device is recognised but not the 'multimedia controller'
