Heya Guys,
I was wondering if someone has the Intel Media Series (45ID) Mobo.... and are experiencing the same problems.... I have machine here, that's running Vista Ultimate x86, with this planar board.
The sound is working only if you direct the sound to the HDMI out (the monitor has speakers).... then the sound works, but If you direct the system to use the standard output to speakers, no sound comes out, and the application also freezes until I change the output to HDMI again.
It worked 100% for the first week or two, then these problems started... and once in a while, It will come right by itself, or when I reinstall the driver, then it works for about 24 hours.. then it fails again.
No abnormalities in the Device Manager either.
I have reinstalled the sound driver so many times, it's not even funny anymore...
Seriously running out of ideas here... My next step will be do dump Vista completely....
