Intel making a major comeback

Intel’s dramatic rally to start the year shows investors are increasingly optimistic about the chipmaker gaining new foundry customers, putting it back into the artificial intelligence trade it appeared to abandon in 2024.

The stock is up 31% to start 2026, the third-best performance in the S&P 500 Index.

I Iove what I've been seeing from Intel's new Core Ultra 3 series which will be a boon to low powered laptops and mini PC's. Their integrated graphics will now be Arc based and ideal for non-AAA and older games. Who still wants to shell out thousands for overpriced high consumption graphics cards?

It's now AMD who have been resting on their laurels like Intel were doing ten years ago and their CPU's are overpriced and lacking innovation. Let AMD produce console hardware while Intel produce relatively cheap workhorse CPU's.

If they can't match or beat AMD without drawing stupid amount of wattage then I am not interested.

They also need to work on having to buy a new M/B for each new generation.
I swapped out CPU 3 times now imagine I needed to buy a new motherboard each time. Not going to happen if Intel can't get that right as well.
