Is there any place that sells the stock intel CPU coolers? Looking for one to fit a socket 1150.

Hmmm I've never seen a stock cooler on sale anywhere, best bet is to get one from someone that discarded their stock cooler for an aftermarket cooler?

Indeed I did. Reasoning behind that is based on the assumption that all stock intel coolers come with (albeit inferior) pre-applied 'thermal paste' on the heat sink. A family member up north needs to replace his cpu cooler and a simple 'click-on' solution would be the best bet for him as a stopgap solution.

TBH, that thermal paste that comes with the heatsink is very bad quality, so you would have to change it in the near future anyway.

To apply thermal paste isnt a very challenging task, one pea sized drop in the middle and you just put it on.
