That's great, btw: I'm having some issues with your customer service in Cape Town, over 2 months waiting for a screen replacement, can we talk about that please?
Not very intelligent from them!!

Does it have decent glass that does not crack if you look at it for too long?

probably not, as besides batteries, glass is the next money maker for cellphone companies.

yea just asking cause I don't think I have seen a Huawei that is older than 2 months without a cracked screen...

the companies have to make their money somehow,

so if they make the screen break easily, they make money, if they make the housing with a non removable battery,
and it wears out, as that is how batteries are these days,

they make money,

increasingly they have to find new ways of making money from the phone, buggy software, breakable components anything to make a buck.

Dear Valued Customer

We welcome your comments as a means to continuosly improve on our product offering and service to our customers.

Huawei flagship devices features Corning Gorilla glass for durability, however as an added service offering on flagship models we offer Huawei select, providing customers with free screen replacements during the warranty period. We would be glad to share details of this free service to you should you require.

Thanks I have done so. I'll update here so that others can track the progress.

FYI: my Mate 9 is a great phone. excellent battery and no issues with the glass.

How many have you seen? I know a few people with Huawei phones, none has cracked screens.

Hey Huawei rep, does the Mate 10 come with any accidental damage warranty like Huawei Select?

Please also publish the details on your website. I could find no info about the accidental warranty on the Mate 9 and when I emaild your support they didn't seem to have the correct info either.
