With the prime rate now @ 10% is it feasible to get a 12% interest on a new car.
And how do i better my chances of getting 12%.

very feasible, even less depending on your history..
only advise i can give would be to arrange your own finance rather than let the dealership do it for you...

i am not certain how it works, but i am almost certain they get comm on the entire financed amount, not just the selling price of the vehicle,
because they seem to go out of their way to not get the best rates...

i got shafted on my first financed car when i signed paperwork which had a fixed interest rate of 19%.... I know it was not what i was told, however on the day I got the car i had the worst hangover known to man and was part vomit burp part excited and zero brains...

never again..

If its a cheap car, they may not give you anything under prime.

Try check with your company if they don't have some deal with any of the banks for better interest rates.

LOL! :D

I Love this heading...Interest rates Slashed....0.5% does not quite amount to a "slash" to me!! :D

Prime is 10? Since when??

I'm paying prime on my car (10.5) and my last car was paying prime -2 but only cos it was one of those special "deals"...

Prime is 10 after today...so if your HP is linked on your deal, you will be paying 10 from next month :D
