could be off topic or could be a "sign" got home today, turned on XBOX logged in Live and all good (working as intended) 1 hour or so later turn on PC to check e-mail and my SAIx account is locked out/expired, no e-mail, no internet (local or international) check XBOX again and Live is still working can check videos, rankings,etc... Seems like TELKOM is letting XBOX traffic run over the network as long as you have an ADSL connection, even if your ISP account is not active. Had to switch to my back-up account to get access to these forums to post this.

Interesting... uncapped access to the Live! network would have me at a Telkom office tomorrow.

I am wonder if it has anything to do with TELKOMS new XBOX deal and them being potentional "bed partners" with Microsoft??? The mind boggles :p

Very interesting that, what do you mean by your account is "locked" though?

Password was change on account, would not authenticate when I checked PPOE settings on the router (it is a shared spare account, that has it's PWD changed every month)

2 months ago after i was capped i could still connect to xbox live but last month after being capped i couldnt... I wonder whats going on

If you are using an ADSL router in bridge mode then the following could apply:

Capping happens on the first reconnect after exceeding the cap, when an IP address in a different range is supplied. Your Xbox ten to one did not disconnect(either by switching off or being forced to disconnect) from the network and thus retained the old IP address.
