interesting memory issue

Hi Guys,

having a strange issue on my android phone, galaxy pocket s5300

a couple weeks ago, it started a reboot loop, IE: world vibrate, freeze up, go blank, then come on and repeat the cycle,

I tried restarting the phone without a memory card in it, fixed the issue straight away,
dosent reboot, works fine no issues with it,

the other day I put my memory card back into it, immediately froze up and started its weird reboot cycle all over again.

ideas? suggestions?

I can tell you all I got on the stick is my music (mp3's) and a few videos, and my contacts .vcf file
also photos, and normal things like that.

its a 16GB stick BTW, but it used to do the same with my 8 GB until the phone broke it, and now it wont read even in a pc,

anybody else experience this before? with the more expensive phones out there?
 
From your post its clear the phone is damaging the memory cards.
Probably a part of the phone is faulty and pushing a higher than normal voltage to the card, when you put the card in, it draws insane amounts of current which leads to CPU power brown-out hence the reboot.

I've never heard of this happening with any phone, sounds a bit unbelievable to me......

s3 or s4 don't do this, or the similar pocket plus,
this is the first time I have heard of CPU's of phones "browning out" p.c's don't so why should phones do it?
or is it simply due to the 800MHZ processor in mine being overtaxed? or like you say a part of it that's faulty.

so what can I do to get my music onto my phone, get a different card? format it and try again?
and apps I can use to prevent this from happening?
