Interesting problem in Gordon's Bay

My phone is dead (Tried different devices and different filters). No dialtone, nada, yet my adsl is working fine!!! I have unpluuged my router and everything else and plugged the phone into the wall jack. Still nothing! Phoned Telkom (from cellphone!). Got message that they are experiencing high volumes of calls must use website to log defects. Go to website, but it is not working.
 
I have the same problem. Telkom advise me that it is possible for ones Adsl to work and for your phone to be dead and vice versa. One bit of advice,dont report the problem to 10212(fault reporting) they will redirect you to Adsl department.
 
Got the same problem here. It happened after the rain the other night. I called 0800375375 (ADSL Fault Line) to log the problem. I actually had it last week already but it came right on it's own before the Telkom guys could look at it. 2/3 days. They are busy looking at it at the exchange for me as we type. ADSL busy going up and down periodically :)
