Interference/noise on sound card

Back jack, the levels seem much lower (I think it's actually line level output, not headphone out), so have to turn volume up - and noise is gone! :D

Yeah the front audio panel wires clip onto the mobo, not always near the output jacks of the PC at the back. Personally I have never used my front audio panels. But then again, I dont use my onboard sound at all :D

Bring your own sound card to work :)

If it's really important to you isolate your sound completely then use a USB interface. I've got a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, you probably won't need something with these features but it's a great device.

Noises are at an acceptably low level now, so I'm sorted :D
