  • BSc (Computer Science) degree
  • Specialisation in Computer Science for a solid theoretical programming background
  • At least a B average for mathematics in metric.
  • Require at least 5 years of solid working experience in a .NET environment with the following essential:
  • Visual Studio 2008, .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Web Services
  • SQL Server 2008, T-SQL
  • HTML, DHTML/JavaScript, CSS

Descripton:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of established SaaS applications.

I'm sorry, but why would this be a requirement if the candidate has a Bsc? Surely that supersedes and "metric" marks? Also, it's Matric.

Surely this is not an intermediate position with these kinds of requirements.
 
Couple of problems, but I'd just say that any dev company that doesn't keep its dev environments up to date isnt worth working for.

You're spoilt. A lot of corporate environments run legacy stuff and aren't keen on running the latest and greatest tech either.
 
Also, isn't 5 years getting senior?
I'm under the impression that 0-2/3 is junior, 3-5 is intermediate then anything above 5 is senior/

I know intermediate devs with 15+ years experience. There is no "year mark" to indicate seniority/titles. It's based, or at least should be, on experience.
