Intermittent conncetivity

Hope someone has some inside info.

Provider-Openserve

The past 2 days I have been experiencing connectivity drop out every few minutes. Usually lasts a few seconds, but it's enough to disconnect from servers(online gaming), buffer on streaming platforms and general sluggishness while working online.

I have opened a ticket with afrihost, awaiting feedback. Thought I would try get ahead of the curve and find out if anyone else is experiencing this or is it possibly equipment.

Any help would be highly appreciated as I would like to get this addressed ASAP.

Which gaming console are you using?

Block this in your windows firewall for both incoming and outgoing rules.

199.232.0.0/16

Then reboot and try again.

Fastly CDN does not serve traffic locally anymore for Xbox game download, Microsoft updates and other high traffic sites like @Vorastra mentioned. They serve it from EU.

That ticket was logged 17 November 2022 no wonder it can't be found. Openserve has changed systems since then, also faults that old can't be escalated.

I've been experiancing the same issue with Afrihost, don't think its fiber provider as I'm with octatel. every few minutes I have drop for about 5 to 10 sec, then is its notmal and stable again. I have been experiancing this for lasst couple of weeks.

Was your isssue resolved?
