Intermittent 'line drops'

Hello everyone :) & a special hello to the very helpful Neotel Rep :D

Firstly, after three weeks, I can confidently say that my Neotel Prime package rocks :D. I've eaten away lots of gigs and as an ex-iburster, this is phenomonal 'cos of the cost factor - a grand for eat as much as you want internet + airtime, sms, etc.

Neotel Prime is the way to go :) :) :).

Secondly, my only (yes only one) gripe is the intermittent 'line drops'. The connection shows me connected but explorer & firefox can't open any sites and IDM stops downloading. It's like for a minute or two there's no internet. After awhile and alles is working again, which @ that stage IDM starts another file dloading in the q and the first shows an error.


I started years ago on a telkom 'callmore' package and I used to hate those line drops cos another connection means another seven bucks. So technically this is not a line drop but an internet freeze as it were. I'm not using the neotel manager but have my own dial connection set up with re-dial settings, etc all in place.

Have any of you guys experienced this and what are your solutions please :)

Im getting the exact same problem. Line works, then it dies, throws me a bunch of errors and then re-starts whatever its doing in IDM.... not cool.

National sites work fine though, so it must be an exchange problem. Hopefully they will fix everything this weekend....
