I have been experiencing very intermittent packet loss throughout the day since about a week ago. It is difficult to pinpoint the problem as it happens at random times but I picked it up during online gaming (Assetto Corsa Competizione) where I get disconnected from the server and then realised that this must be why my Microsoft Teams sessions also freeze every now and then.
As mentioned very intermittent but quite frustrating when you are 40 minutes into a 90 minute race only to be disconnected. On day to day internet use, Netflix etc you dont really notice it obviously, but connection orientated apps you do.
Ticket logged with CISP on Thursday 25 June and as of this morning it was not even acknowledged by a technical support agent yet - called and was informed they will "start looking into it". Not great service if you ask me.
Interestingly my friend who also played on the same server on the same evening (also with CISP) also had a disconnect. Could it be a core network issue?
I am based in the south of Joburg and my friend is in Fourways.
Anyone else been seeing this?
