Internal HDD - Pick up in Cape Town

Hi there,
My HDD in my MacBook Pro has failed today & I need a replacement urgently for work.

Where would you recommend me to go in CT to see few models & pay/puck it up on the spot?

Ps: MBP from mid-2009, I'm looking at a 320GB 2.5" 7200rpm (probably seagate momentus)

umm usual PC suppliers will do.. Places like Matrix etc.. not sure of any specific places in CPT.

Switching out an HD is relatively simple - just do what Rishalin did - get a 2.5 SATA from Matrix and pop her in. I trust you have backup, of course.

No he needs a special hard drive with a Apple sticker on it from an approve apple store with a special price.

OP should also look into a large hybrid SSD/HDD from Seagate or Western Digital.

Maybe give Landmark Computers a call. They have a online site and they're based in CT so you could collect. Another one is Esquire. I don't know what they have in stock.

Just called Matrix & they only offer a Toshiba as a 320GB for ~R700

I was thinking more of a Seagate or Western Digital...

Any other recommendations in Cape Town?

I ordered a "Seagate 320GB Momentus SATA3 16MB 7200RPM Mobile Hard Drive" from Sybaritic which should be delivered today for just over R700.
