As part of our ongoing network growth plan, we upgraded the SA to Europe capacity on our Tier 1 network over the weekend 14/15 March 2009. This keeps Neotel's available international transit capacity ahead of demand, responding to the rapid growth we are experiencing in both Enterprise (NeoInternet) and Consumer/SME (NeoConnect / NeoFlex) Internet services.

We're not looking for any particular feedback, but feel free to comment if you've seen any change in speed or latency to destinations you regularly visit. The world is a big place, and we don't have much control outside of the 15% of the global Internet that is on our (Tata Communications / Neotel) Tier 1 network, but at least we can improve the South African connectivity of our own global network.

Good news, here's hoping the local issues (me among them! :) )get fixed soon. I'll see if I can see any difference tonight.
