International dead slow?

International bandwidth is completely comitted during the day, steps are being taken to mitigate the problem, and within a week or so, MyWireless users will also be getting their bandwidth from a different provider for the international stretch.

The problem is being tended to, believe me.

TheRoDent, thanks for the news but, forgive me if i seem a bit too sceptic after so many problems in recent months. Im like Saint Tomé, see it, to believe it. If that is true (the change) things might go two ways, improve or get worse. I noticed that there is a bottleneck outside Sentech itself. it's the second or third international hop, from there, things get really ectic. I hope there is a breath of fresh air coming our way, people are probably geting desperate althought i can only speak for myself. 95% of my traffic is international and things are quite bad at the moment. I hope things improve.

As opposed to IRC, you're welcome to speak full sentrences and words here Now would that 7k be 7kb (almost 1 kB) or 7kB ? keep in mind that your 128k = 16kB

1 you will never reach your cap and WOW you call this No Shaping .... cruzin at 3.4KBps wireless ... that's awfully incredibly Super fast in your terms

Buddy, I have to HOLD MYSELF back after about 2 to 2.5 weeks when I DO "hit" my 20GB cap. (256 MyWi package). Done 45GB twice in 2 consecutive months before I got ***ked on. How much can you do in a month?

128 kiloBITS per second, which equals 16 kiloBYTES per second. (bits vs bytes, 1 byte = 1 bit). kb/sec vs kB/sec.

So on the 128 package you should be able to get a maximum DOWNLOAD speed of 16k/sec (sixteen kiloBYTES per second). "k/sec" is the download speed you will see in Windows when using IE (Internet Explorer) to download a file.

yeah on my 128k, I have most always averaged between 15 - 17 KB/s, but in the last three weeks or so, if I reach 7KB/s then I would consider myself very lucky. Yesterday was downloading at 1.87 .... so frustrating

Hi, sentech had a scheduled maintenance between 0:01 and 1:00 but i think their clocks are a bit off... just a few minutes ago 2:42am international is not working...i stayed away from my computer between the anounced time and now they cut us off...once again...bad, bad, bad.
