Hi all,
I have setup a website with a free host. The host is fantastic & no ads etc.. anyway, I want to setup a forum, I used the control panel & installed phpBB2 forum from my control panel.. NO PROB. The forum is alive & well... however..
Whenever I try login to the forum, I have to do it numerous times (4 - 8 times sometimes) and then when I finally get logged in, If i try access the admin panel, I am asked to re-authenticate myself. After re-loggin in, I sometimes end up being logged out, or the frame doesnt load (defaults back to login) etc etc etc..
Now at this point, someone could be thinking... " Why isnt he posting at his INT help forum...?"
Well I have, and they have asked me who my ISP is etc.. and believe me I have tried everything.. including installing a 'cookie.php' fix as suggested by finds from google.
I have done everything.. clear cache.. cookies. etc etc etc, I use FF 2.0.0.7 &/or IE6. My OS is XP SP2 completely updated. The firewall is turned on (and off) and my antivirus is avast (uptodate) also on & off... at time for testing.. etc etc etc..
I have read that it could be a 'South African' problem as somewhere here, people have experienced similar problems internationally but obviously not on local servers.
My question is.. does anyone know this problem, can it be sorted out and if so how?
Any help, links will be appreciated.
I have even added DNS's from opendns & use proxies from the a web based proxy service.
Any ideas... I am stumped.
