International Guitar Night is a series of shows held every winter and summer and exist to bring to our South African doorstep, the world’s greatest and most accomplished contemporary acoustic guitar players in the world today.

IGN came about through South African acoustic guitarist Tony Cox's travels and performances on the stages and festivals of the world. Often the events would be titled International Guitar Festival or Night featuring the greatest contemporary players out there in the world today. Tony was fortunate to meet and perform up alongside some of today's most astounding guitarists and it was then the germ of the South African version of International Guitar Night was born.

Anyone going?

Just got my tickets today.
Taking my best friend along.

Been looking forward to this - on at The Baxter 8-10 July.
I'm going on the 9th.

There were a lot of seats available, which I thought to be weird.

Look forward to seeing some accomplished guitar work! :D

So no one then?
Anyway - I'm looking forward to it tomorrow night.

A good meal and some brewskies followed by the show - AYE!

Show was epic!

John Gomm blew my mind!

Tony Cox and Dave Baudain were awesome too.

Dave's 1946 Gibson ES300 is a beauty!
And what he did with her.

I know I'm talking to myself in this thread, but don't miss this.

Thought I spotted a mybb member in the front row ;)

This show is actually running till Saturday - was mistaken - only that Jon Gomm was playing till the 10th - GO AND SEE IT!

Actually been meddling around with alternative tuning since yesterday. Trying to learn Kotaro Oshio's Oasis. Gonna take a while, but been fiddling and coming up with something of my own which holds potential :)

Its fun though, learning to faff about with a fresh sound.

Sorry I missed this too.

Wild have loved to have seen John Gomm
