Does anyone know an exact working method for switching over to the US/UK play stores. There are a number of apps I want to access and every guide a find I simply cannot get working.

DOwnloaded MarketEnablers latest, followed the guide step by step a few times, used a number of public proxies, even installed TunnelBear and Viatun and they are most certainly putting my pc overseas as I used them to buy a US only Origin special.
Tried the clear cache, aeroplane, reboot method. Specially did it on my tablet to eliminate the sim card factor, phone was no dif though.
Some threads on XDA claim methods I tested and failed with worked as late as a month ago with Play 4 yet the seemingly simple clear cache, proxy, open and enjoy is not working.

Got a Nexus 7 and Note 1 N7000, both rooted, Nexus is stock, Note is PA3.5.

I would've tried Bluestacks but it refuses to reinstall onto my machine, keeps moaning notification is still installed which its not and googles not helping with that.

Your South African credit card is binding you to the SA Play store... At least this is what I have come to believe... You need some sort of US payment method like US PayPal or something...

Fude on a fudgesicle, why did not think of that, wonder if switching emails accounts will help. I got to google addresses with no cards linked. Come to think of it, my mothers using a 2nd profile on my Nexus, no cards linked to hers either.

Oh and the CC thing could probably be bypassed, my boss's tab is UK and the phone is ZA even though they were both bought in UK, the phone however still had play 2 and he only set that up when he got back. Both are using the ZA CC.
From what I read you are tied to the terms you agree to, so he was in UK when he first signed into play, if he flushed the play data it would probably put him back in SA store.

I found that it's your sim card that binds you to what you can buy on the store, not your credit card.

Hence trying all the trick on the tablet, no sim.
Thats also what market enabler is for, spoofs the sim, but you need a proxy to back it up as the market uses geodata as well now.

TunnelBear worked for me in the past. Tell you what, I'm in Senegal just now and I've got a Vodacom sim in my N7 that has no data bundle on it and an Orange one in my n4 that does, give me 10 mins and I'll see if I can get it to work by tethering the N7 to the N4 and getting the UK store through TunnelBear :)

Worked ok for me on the N7 with my Vodacom sim in.

Connected to my N4 which is on a Senegal data payg data plan, connected to TunnelBear UK proxy, cleared the cache, started play store, accepted the disclaimer and there it was.

It may actually have something to do with the CC, the moment I went in with another account I could get into the UK store on both my devices. I can even switch between stores by switching accounts. UK store stays even with the vpn disconnected.

So basically my personal email is ZA, portfolio email is UK and I could then probably sign my work email up to the US store, although probably not needed.

Just tried it again, still keeps taking me back to the SA store.

Man, too weird. Is TunnelBear fully connected to the proxy? I had a problem twice connecting to the US store and got the local Senegal store because I was too hasty and the proxy wasn't established yet?

Grasping at straws but hey, otherwise I'm snookered

CHeck 1 post up, got it working on my other account, the one thats not working is the one with my CC, thats the only dif I can think of really.

Ah, missed that one :)

But wow, I've only got an SA card and I've never had a problem anywhere. I was in the UK last month and even made a couple of purchases for example. Great you've got it working, flooked if I know why though.

Here something maybe more strange.
It happily let me add my ZA card to my other account, so now that cards on 2 Google wallets, and I am still keeping my UK store, so why I can't switch I have no idea.

Otherwise not really caring as I have UK access, can get all the nice stuffs now.

Narf, it set back to ZA, must of been the cc. After a while it asked me to re - accept the terms and I was back in SA, even with tunnel bear running.

Ive just always had the full US playstore on both my HTC phone(CM10) & Nexus 7(stock 4.2) (both unlocked & rooted).
I can buy or install whatever i like(movies, series etc). Dont know if its the HOLA app i have installed or Unotelly that i sometimes(not always) use.

I couldn't get to the south african store if I tried. Have ZA card also ZA address linked never seen the SA store

Can you access the full store online(website on pc or phone) using VPN, DNS or Hola? If you can install an app to your phone that's not available in the SA store from the website like Netflix. It should start downloading and install at least mine does.

Using the same VPN, DNS or Hola try opening the playstore app again you should have the US store now. If all else fails you can still access and install things from the full store via the website

THe online store is also determined by your phone, if the item is not available in the region of your phone it wont let you install it anyway.
WOrkaround is to normally grab those apps from aptoide.
