International Roaming 3G (iPad data sim)

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had some information on Vodacom's network regarding Kenya. I've got a 12 Month 3G contract with them (1GB per month) here in SA and I was wondering if it would work in Kenya? Are there additional costs, etc or will it just deduct normally from my 1GB bundle?

You cannot use your Vodacom 1gig bundle on any overseas network...affiliated with Vodacom or not. You will be charged the applicable international data roaming rate per meg.

Sorry I meant the bundle is prepaid. How would they charge me if the bundle has already been paid for?

You would be billed (assuming that you have sufficient airtime credit on the device) of between R17.50 per MB and R128.00 per MB dependant on the roaming network. Your 3G 1GB data bundle is valid for use only in South Africa!

I'd suggest that you buy a local SIM & data bundle when you get to Kenya.

^^This. Roaming data rates are astronomical (and so is voice).
