International Slow

Yes me too.

My servers are in UK, London and where I could ping it previously within a few hops, the damn idiots at Telkom did something stupid and the route is now via SA to USA to London instead of direct to London.

Either the SA - UK link have problems or Telkom route it now differently.

(Until recently I always got a route via SA to London to USA (at the time when I had USA servers) and thats why I installed new servers in the UK but it's now the other way round damn and the route seems to be SA to USA (Washington) to UK (London)

End of the month syndrome, or too early for that?

During weekend???

It's today during business hours anyway a bit faster than past during weekend.

Overloading their international bandwidth, or keep it slow with whatever they have is very profitable for Telkom.

Not only would they "save" on purchasing more int bandwidth but they also "gain" because people with dialup stay longer online and ADSL users have to upgrade to higher packages (even if it's not really faster).
