This is going to be a bit of a long one so bare with me, I really need the brain power of you beautiful on this one!

So, I’ve been having buffering issues with twitch, hopped on MyBroadband, was told to use the cisp CPT proxy, which sorted out twitch but broke my iTunes (would not connect while proxy was on). This really doesn’t hinder my internet that much, just a minor inconvenience, but was told to log a ticket, which I did. Cisp have been super helpful as always, Fast forward to today, they recently swapped the router out for a newer one and did some route optimisation and just said monitor the connection over the weekend.

The actual issue that I can see is my international speeds are slow, got a 50mbps line and on ookla testing to London coreix I get about 13mbps, turn the proxy on that was mentioned above and boom, full line speed, all local speeds are fine, seems like it’s just international speeds. So tonight after running a Speedtest to London, got the same result, but something at the back of my mind said “try a Speedtest on your phone”, which I did using the ookla app to coreix, and what do you know, full line speed.

So, updated the ticket with this new info, but wanted to ask you guys if you know of any settings or ideas of what it could be on my pc causing international speeds to be slow?

Thaaaaaaaaaanks

Have you tried

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

In command prompt? To quote @AfriNatic below saw this a few times pop up

Please run that command as administrator in command prompt.

The fact that you get full speed on a mobile phone means it's likely a TCP window scaling issue in Windows.

There’s a special place in heaven for you CrypticZA !

Seems like the code from AfriNatic in that post has sorted it out. Not sure why I didn’t find that post before as I did try searching on MyBroadband, but anyway.

I just want everyone to know the amazing service I got from cisp. Their customer service is generally really good but they really went out of their way this time. I want to thank EVERYONE that helped on the ticket.

PBCool and TheRoDent your level of involvement in cisp is really amazing, and makes me proud to be a cisp customer.
