What I would like to see is that local traffic not get added to your cap.

I use very little international bandwidth - I mainly connect to a VPN for work purposes and there is a lot of traffic over the VPN. Then when I want to do normal browsing I find myself capped, yet I haven't used intl. bandwidth yet.

Please let only intl. traffic count to cap.

If you don't really use international badnwith then you shouldn't worry about the cap. Local speeds are not affected by the cap!

no ****,,,,

i use mainly local,, which i think shouldnt be counted to the cap,,

as he did say and me too i use MAINLY local not ONLY local

so when i use past cap on local and want to do some 'quick' surfing,, y am i capped for usuing local then it can take any where from 3 to 8 days to open an international page

frikv please read my post properly. I reach my cap within the first few days. I still do normal browsing if I'm not using my VPN connection and therefore need the intl. bandwidth. I fully aware that local is not capped.

These telscum okes are mad with a 3G cap. I've reached mine in 3 days and my connection is now worthless.

I agree with ri0t.

I have the same problem and was wondering if anyone else had noticed. We get capped after 3 gb of traffic not 3gb of international traffic. I hate having to police my surfing habits based on when my account has rolled over to a new month.

New month .. oohh, better use international traffic now while I can..

Using local bandwidth counts towards your "Cap".

In effect my end experience is that whenever I try use international bandwidth, I'm stuffed, because I already reached my cap using local bandwidth. I do not think that this is a fair implementation. This is by far the most underhanded thing about the service and no one seems to have noticed.

If you are gonna cap it, at least measure the correct usage. I would not mind the cap half as much if this where the case

I have confirmed from various sources and service providers that the 3Gb is indeed measured over Local as well as International traffic. This is not what we paid for or was advertised. Accepted the cap is mostly affecting the Int bandwidth but I do a lot of local transfers get capped and when I need to just look at a Int site forget it, I've been capped.

I have spoken to Microsoft SA regarding Windows Updates etc. and yes there will soon be local mirrors of the Updates sites so we can at least keep our PC's secure. However these sites will not be hosted anywhere near a Service Provider as they do not seem to be interested other than IS which already provides its clients with these facilities. Hopefully however we will find somewhere to put the data and with a fixed IP etc. so everyone can use it.
