International Wifi hotspots

I will soon be travelling to Europe and wish to use Wifi. Which service provider should I buy an account from that has the best roaming agreements and coverage. :confused:
 
T-mobile (it was in Germany/France) have a 30 day unlimited account for 20 Euros (i think)... they have good coverage.

Wi-fi is common and mostly free in most public areas in Europe. Unrestricted. Uncapped. IF you are unlucky enough to land where you have to pay, then it would probably be pennies. Most public areas (cafes, restaurants) in Europe now offer 100% free and uncapped/unrestricted Wi-fi. No passwprd required, no login page. In London just about every pub and cafe have free wi-fi. For some you might need to get a 'ticket' at the cashier, they obvioulsy want you to pay for a coffee (!) before you use their wi-fi. In Netherlands for instance most trains now have wi-fi onboard, as well as ferries and busses (They love to call a bus a 'coach' in the UK).
That is also true for Netherlands. There are also loads of hotels that offer free wi-fi for guests. I won't stay in a EU hotel if it doesn't offer free wi-fi. It's easy to check (on their website) if the hotel/overnight establishment offers (free) wi-fi. Even the smallest corner shop has a website with information of what's on offer.

In Uk the biggest paid wi-fi is www.thecloud.net They have thousands of hotspots all over UK and EU. Also VERY cheap. For £15 per month unlimted uncapped access at hotpsots. One can also buy pre-paid airtime with debit/credit card.
You can also get yourself a pre-paid 3G card from phone networkd (in the UK) like Three. They offer prepaid, no contracts 3G/HSDPA and the bundle (USB modem + data allowance) can be bought just about everywhere from a 'bin', like Carphone Warehouse or PC World. You take the 3G modem, hand over your money, and start using it. No proof of identity required.

Need some help here please.
I have done this before in the UK by using my own Huawei Modem/Dongle and getting a data bundle like in SA. Worked perfectly. Now I'll be travelling to the US in a week's time and was wondering if the same system/setup will work over there ie. using my own usb modem/dongle and getting data time on a simcard.
Anyone know how the US systems work?
