Internet access paused. Either your data bundle is depleted or you're not in Telkom's coverage and using a Telkom only bundle. Dial *180# or open your browser.

What's this nonsense? Getting this every day now and my data is disabled. Happens when I'm on the move.

Telkom call center doesn't know what it is and blames depleted data plan. It's a 30GB monthly bundle. Nowhere near depleted.
 
Noob much (as in it's been talked to death here on MyBB)? It's roaming on Vodacom (Telkom-R) and since you have Telkom only data, you get this message, will post fix now.
 

Blocking Telkom roaming
To address this problem, Telkom has launched a new option for subscribers to block roaming on the TelkomSA-R network.

The option is available under the *180# USSD menu, where users are given the option to “Manage TelkomSA-R”.

After selecting this option, users are given the choice to “Block TelkomSA-R”.

This new functionality should resolve the problems which many Telkom on-net data and fixed-LTE subscribers have been experiencing.
 
Well thank you kind sir and apologies for the noob question.
What I find irritating is that it happens to me at home when I have a good Telkom network and the next moment it states that I am out of the Telkom coverage area.

For some strange reason, it hasn't happened the last two days. Everything seems okay.
 
Is the SmartBroadband (prepaid) strictly Telkom only data then?
