We are going to langebaan for a few days and I wanted to know if it's possible to use our mweb fibre account there?

I have a spare hauwei router, would that work. Keeping kids entertained and not bored should weather be not great

According to @cavedog it is not possible, IIRC.

Perhaps buy 1-day data bundles and use one (or more) of your phones as a hotspot?

Not really sure what you're asking about landlines? SIM goes into mobile device.

Over the cellular network? Your question makes no sense.

You only option is good old mobile data $$$$$$

Buy a wireless modem one of those MiFi devices and an LTE sim for data.

I have a hauwei lte router. It uses a sim, and I buy a data package. Have not use in a while as we have not been travelling. Not sure which prepaid data package gives the best deal at the moment.

I have a LTE modem we use when we travel - and it works as a backup at home for the times our fibre is off (luckily not too many).
Two birds etc. - just make sure its not fixed LTE as those are locked to a specific tower.

Langebaan does have fibre, as for me, I am about 60km up coast in Dwarskersbos and all you get there is MTN fixed LTE.

Wait, are you saying that you even go to places that don't have 4G? What madness is that.

The best thing for me about Mauritius was unlimited 4G everywhere.

Allowing kids to get bored is not abuse or bad parenting.

Not really sure what you're asking about landlines? SIM goes into mobile device.

The router gets the sim card does it not? I have had friends to don't have telephones in their apartments but have a router on the kitchen counter

Never underestimate how much data kids can stream through. My cousin was at our holiday house for a weekend with her two kids. Weather was not great so they streamed, kids upstairs and grownups downstairs.... they made a lovely dent in our 30GB and roll over data.

The small blip on the 16th was by folks being there for 3 days. They use way less data.

Rain speeds on the West Coast is not that bed, wel at least in Veldrift it is OK, not sure about more populated towns like Langebaan.
