Internet Cafe Software

Hey guys, thanks for the help in advance.

I have a friend that has a shop, now he wants to add 2 computers with internet access, basically a small internet cafe. Just for research, skype, browsing, printing, etc.

Now he has someone that has given him a quote to install wireless internet access, create custom terminals, the whole works. I just think I could help him out a bit and maybe safe him some money.

He has an ADSL line already, which he will be cancelling because he will be getting the wireless, first mistake in my opinion. But anyways here was I idea. Basically he will be running 3 computers. Here was my plan. Keep him on 384, move him over to Mweb Uncapped and make use of an open-source internet cafe terminal program?

Any constructive critism? Will 384 be fine for 3 computers (If it grows he can always, rather upgrade his line) What good free terminal programs are there, etc.

Or should I just let him be and waste a bit of money?

Mweb 384 is barely good for 1 PC, let alone 3.

The problem with a wireless connection is, very unstable and you cannot have this if internet is your main business

There is alot of software out there just google it

As far as ADSL is concerned get a 512k line and perhaps axxess uncapped data although this is more like for 2 pc's he will have to think about the 4 Mb option

Yes I know 384 isn't enough, but this isn't the main part of his business at all, just an added service... Also I've googled the software, found a lot, but was hoping someone could point me to the best one?

I agree , 512kbps line at least

Hardly better if 384 isn't enough, I would say 4mbps minimum. It's like opening a dry cleaner but using water: customers won't be coming back.
