My home network is setup like this:

The wireless router is an ASUS WL-520G, the wireless network adapter is an ASUS WL-169gE, the ADSL modem is a D-Link DSL-300T. The network itself works perfectly - all computers can see each other, access each others' shares etc.

I have tried setting up Internet Connection Sharing as explained in this guide - while the "host" computer connects to the Internet with no problems, the "client" computers cannot connect at all. After I set the options "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" on the client computer (as per the above guide), the client computer's network connection doesn't work - because it can't get an IP address.

If I enable DHCP on the ASUS router, the network connection is fine, and I get the following in Network Connections:

but when I click the "Internet Connection" icon to enable it, it disappears for a few seconds then reappears, still set to "Disabled".

I'm wondering if the problem is because I have RASPPPOE installed on the host computer, due to the fact that I'm using Route Sentry to manage my international/local ADSL accounts?

Has anyone with a similar setup, and using dual ADSL accounts, had success with ICS? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Err, how is your PC and your brother's PC connected to the adsl modem, exactly?

Without knowing that, see if you can set the modem/pc with the modem to being the dhcp server, with the wireless router being a dhcp relay agent.

Both PCs are connected to the wireless router, which is connected (wirelessly) to the fileserver / gateway, which is connected to the ADSL modem.

How does one set the router to be a DHCP relay agent?

Should be a setting in the router's settings itself... Usually around the same area of the config page where you change the IP or turn DHCP on or off.

Most routers tho seem to disable DHCP related services when set into bridge mode which it would have to be for route sentry. A proxy would probably be the easiest way to connect it.
Are you initiating connections for both local and int accounts from each of the pc's?
