I had a wireless connection setup and someone broke my card :(

So I've just bought a litte USB thing to replace it and set it up perfectly (same static IP etc) and it works perfectly - well, almost. The only thing I need to set up is Internet Connection sharing.

With the old way, it took me 10 seconds : I right clicked the wireless link, 'properties', 'advanced' and check the box 'Allow other network users to connect through the computers internet connection'.

Now the new wireless connection doesn't even have that option. The only thing is that window is the Windows Firewall settings - and everything below that is blank.

Why would this be?

Log on to the host computer as Administrator or as Owner.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet Connections.
Click Network Connections.
Right-click the connection that you use to connect to the Internet. For example, if you connect to the Internet by using a modem, right-click the connection that you want under Dial-up.
Click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Internet Connection Sharing, select the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection check box.

Read the article - my problem is I have no Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection check box under that specific connection

Are you connecting to the internet using your wireless connection / "litte USB thing"?

Because according to that article you must configure ICS on the connection that connects to the internet? Have you checked the setting under the other network adapter?

What Windows are you running XP SP2/3, and what's the make of usb wireless adapter?
