Hi okes,
I've been out of IT for quite a while now so just need someone to refresh my memory quick.
There use to be an attack on windows systems, which basically makes your internet connection drop but it still shows as connected. It happens alot when you dial into the network, whether it be dial up, adsl or 3G.
And there was a patch for this.
Reason why I ask is because my folks are using MTN 3G and every now and then their internet would stop working and only works when they reconnects. Its the same with a different 3G usb modem and the same on three computers except one.
The one computer that doesnt get affected gets a virus warning from avast which stops some attack from a certain IP every hour or so.
Anyways, if anyone knows anything let me know, I've been googling but nothing useful came back.
