I have a dual sim phone and I am using truecaller app that identifies who the person is who is calling. Only problem is only time I receive a call my internet dies so truecaller cannot lookup who is calling me. Only after the call can I lookup who it was.

I thought my internet would stay constant as I receive a call on SIM 1 which I only use for voice and on SIM 2 I use for data.
My sim 2 data connection just dies when I receive a call. I use Sim 2 as a hotspot which kills anything I am doing if I get an incoming call on SIM1.

Is this a software setting or does my phone not support it?

That's normal for dual sim, at least all of mine worked that way

The two major types of dual-SIM phones are active and standby. Dual-SIM Standby (DSS) requires the user to specify which of the two SIMs is able to make and receive calls, while Dual-SIM Active (DSA) enables both cards to receive calls at the same time. This latter feature usually requires an additional transceiver for the secondary SIM card, and as such consumes more battery life. More recent models feature Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) technology which enables them to have two active SIMs with only one transceiver.

How does that answer the question, most these days are dual standby, both that I had were dual standby and both dropped the Internet connection on sim 2 when a call came in on sim 1.

If I google it says it possible if your network provider supports VoLTE

I have the same issue with my xiaomi mi8 dual sim, mtn and telkom networks

Revival time :) I had this on my Fold 4, and was hoping the Fold 6 would be different, however it has the same limitation.
Did anyone find a resolution for this?
