Internet in Namibia

I know this is a ZA forum - but I am looking for someone that has any information on either DSL or some type of high speed internet in Namibia as I may be heading there for a while and I want to see what is available there before I commit - information online is hard to come by.

i am an ex-namibian, and i was in Namibia during the xmas season 2005-2006.... Telecom Namibia had to come around to our house and fix the lines, so we asked...and there was a trial-run for DSL in Windhoek...but the techie was honest enuff to say that it might not be viable, since Windhoek and Namibia, in general, is fairly small for residential roll-out. however this may have changed and well, what do sum techie's know anyway? either way 56k dial-up wud still be the main type of internet connection...
