Internet modem and Wireless (Telkom)

Hi all

I am taking a chance here and hoping someone can assist. My friends PC connects to the internet through the ethernet cable and that works fine. The problem is that his laptop can no longer connect wirelessly unless the PC is already connected to the internet.

The question is how can we get his laptop to connect wirelessly to the modem and to the internet without putting the main PC on, is it possible?

Sounds like your mate has a gateway set to the main PC.
