Internet on Nokia n8

This week I use my phone as modem. I connect, open 1 site, then its dead. Then I use the same sim in a dongle and all is fine. What can be wrong with my phone then?

Damn i forgot but, i think you need to have downloaded the setting 1st to use it as a modem as in:The provider settings or something.
What provider is it .vodacom/Mtn or......?
