so, my blackberry was updating its software when it fell off my desk.
it was a bit of a crisis, as it didnt start up, but i got it all working again, by reinstalling its os etc.

so, the problem is, the settings for internet came with the phone, and theyre lost now. if i go to the vodacom *111# menu, it tells me there are no settings available for the phone, and Im on prepaid.

how do i go about getting connected? sorry if it's obvious or something i really dont know a thing about this phone, it is slow and confusing.

sorry, i have a 8800, im on vodacom and i see 'gprs' (lowercase)

basically, i cant see the browser on the main page ever. i do, however, have a theme that i put on the phone with desktop manager that has a web link on the main menu.
when i click the link, the phone says: Your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries.

So help please.

Goto options, advanced options, go into "host routing table" click the BB button, select register now....if that don't work, then

goto your BIS account in vodacom, I'm not sure the URL, for mtn it's www.mtn.blackberry.com, enter your password and pin, once logged in select help, click on "send service book" button, that should work...failing that then,

Dial 1555 from your device and let the operator do it for you..

P.S unless it was an official vodacom software release, did you delete the vendor.xml file before you updated the software?
