I just bought a second hand E7, and think it's a great phone, but it's internet access is very problematic. It looses connections at a frequency of minutes. I noticed that it had five strange, foreign looking access points just after a factory reset. I assume this is because it's not a genuine SA targeted model. I deleted all five access points, diallled *123# to get settings from MTN, and then created one, single access point called MTN. The internet access seemed quite a bi better then.
Then last night, I upgraded to Symbian Belle, and the trouble started all over again. I will be doing the same procedure, but I was wondering if there were not some code or hack to set a phone's locale so that it automatically detects and uses the poper local access points and settings for its location.
