Hi all,

Please help, I am trying to connect my Cellc speed stick on the 7" notebook that are using Windows CE operating system the speed does not come with the setting for that. I need the internet settings. Anyone knows how to go about that?

Here are the settings, taken from one of the sticky Cell C threads in this forum. A lot of the information is not needed for your purposes as things like DNS, IP address, port, should all install automatically via the SIM. You may also find the APN installs automatically though if you are really stuck you can choose Advanced in the Cell C software and enter manual settings. The USSD code at the end is useful for checking your data balance in realtime if you are not using the Cell C software which will do it for you; you can enter it in gingg's excellent freebie download dashboard MDMA and it works a treat. Good luck!

Hi Terencek,

Thank you for the help. I have tried to use them but it is not working. Windows CE seems to work different form other OS. The message I am getting now is that "You have been disconnected from the remote computer you dialed. Verify Baud Rate setting and retry the connection."

Oops sorry, hadn't twigged that you were using CE. I have found that within reason (and within their competence) the guys in the Cell C shops will help you so maybe that's worth a try, though I suspect your problem might be a bit 'exotic' for them!

Windows CE is useless, I have wasted money on this thing. I have now order myself a proper netbook from Rebel Tech.

Just received my netbook Gigabyte Q1000, I've inserted the Cell c speedstick and now i am getting a error 619: A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed. Any idea what the is?

Are you sure the Sim Card is RICAed?

try a different usb port. Try change the connection type (ie change to HSDPA,edge,3g) to check signal issues. Try removing the sim then reinserting it. Try removing and reinstalling the cell c dashboard.
