Hi guys.

Just wanted to know if Afrihost is experiencing any problems with Openserve customers in the Waverley Pretoria area?

I get pings of under 5ms but download speeds are under 20 Mbit/s on a 500 line?

Hi, there are no issues experienced with Openserve Pretoria. When did you start experiencing slow speeds?

Please send me a PM with your email address, let us interrogate the line and see what could be causing the slow speeds.
 
Probably rats chewing those cables again. I had a lot of trouble in the past with those rodents.
 
Getting the same thing since around 9AM this morning.

I did downgrade my line speed a few days ago, expecting it to only downgrade from the 1st of December.

When today i started getting slow speeds i thought it was done instantly instead.

Now seeing this post i'm not sure if its the downgrade or something is broken?

Is it just download speeds that are degraded?

Seems like it yeah. Upload still hitting 120Mbps

Also in Pretoria, Waverley area if that helps

Thank you, I have a ticket open with Openserve. I have added that they are other clients affected.

Hi , Not sure if you could check my account? I'm now struggling with packet loss also.
 
I'm located in Pretoria, Rietfontein can confirm I have the same problems. I'm on Telkom and Cool Ideas, Openserve fibre. Both getting packet loss and 20 Mbps down on 500 Mbps line, upload fine tho. Screenshot 2022-11-18 193335.pngScreenshot 2022-11-18 194531.png
 
I have now found something weird.....

I used Cloudflare Warp to test something, and the internet is much faster.....

Without Cloudflare Warp:


And with Cloudflare Warp...

Exact same here.... Also still packet loss with WARP on...
Ugh, so annoying that this happened on a weekend.:cautious:
 
Yeah it’s slow here in Ramsgate as well. Dropped off around 14:30. RSAWeb and frogfoot here
 
@AfriNatic @Afrigirl Any possible update on this?

Still getting packet loss and slow download speeds.

When connecting through WARP fixes the download speeds but the packet loss stays.
