Anyone experiences problems? Can hardly browse.

i cant even connect to a IS ISP...was working yesterday morning and when i got home from work i was disconnected...ask a buddy to check on his side and same problem....thought it could be eskom fault but i doubt it...

*Sighs @ South Africa's bad broadband. The wort in the world. The only Country with a "cap" system. tsk tsk

It is frightful.
Some sites do not even open at all for me - switch over to SAIX, and they open instantly.

It's been up and down since yesterday. Don't you just love South African service delivery

Satellite must be suffering from bird poo attacks that or its partly to do with line breaks thats been taking place in the sea

Same here, lets hope IS can sort out the problem soon.

Received the following in my mail:

Dear IS Customer Emergency Telkom Maintenance Notification. AFFECTED SERVICE: International MPLS service AFFECTED POPS: Traffic between SA and London, New York START DATE: Mon 4 Feb 08 02h00 (SAST) END DATE: Mon 4 Feb 08 06h00 (SAST) EXPECTED DURATION: < 4 hrs IMPACT: Slow responses during switch hits REASON FOR CHANGE: Telkom equipment maintenance ADDITIONAL INFO: Traffic will reroute. Regards The IS GSC TEL: 27 (11) 575 0055 email: [email protected] Please note: do not reply to this email, as it is generated by an automated system. Thank you.

I allegedly have an uncapped account with IS - Downloads from hhtp are excellent, however p2p is blocked - yet IS still think the account is unshaped............

Also certain email addresses cannot be sent to with IS - their server rejects the address - saix has no such problem.............

My IS accounts are totally Eskomed today.
I can connect and authenticate, and that is it.
Cannot even ping IPs - let alone browse.

Well done IS!!!
