What is it like a normal phone like an iPhone?

I'm on second BB and unlike most people out there, have had little issue. Yes, the phone is not as polished or fluid - but I play music, video, SMS, message, email and internet too. I've loved my BB, until recently ....

Over the last few months BIS Has got slower and slower - and nowadays it's painful to use and half the time I won't even bother pulling it out to us. Suffice to say, my next phone will not a Blackberry ...

So I was wondering what a normal average time is for you guys browsing through the 3G connection? 7 out 10 times, I simply ping out after requesting for abut 3 minutes. When it get's through to the page, it takes around 40-60 seconds to load each MyBB page. This means if I want to read something in motoring, it can easily minutes to get to the post.

How does that compare?
How does the phone on the left video compare?

What did you use before BB?
My iphone is lightning quick, 7.2Mb/s. My S2 is about 100x faster than BB.

I think any 3G phone is faster than a BB with 3G/HSPA on BIS.

I had a Samsung i780 smartphone ....

The BB started at a decent speed and had no issues. Just recently it's painful to use - to the point I borrow someone else's phone rather than use mine to do a quick search

I had the same problem with my HTC. It ran Windows Mobile 6.1/6.5. The OS is sluggish. The built-in Internet Explorer is unusable despite the phone being 3G. Moving to a iPhone was like night and day.

RIM is in trouble, and has been for a few years. Basically, they don't have the money to increase capacity. They only have two facilities - one in the UK and one in Canada, and these facilities simply cannot support the load. I see a buyout of RIM looming - which could be a good thing for BB customers, more capacity will be supplied, but they would also start charging more for this service.
