Anyone ever looked at or attempted to apply for one of these? Am about to finish my 3rd year at UJ studying a BSc IT majoring Computer Science and Informatics and yes yes Microsoft is evil bla bla but this still looks very tempting :p

And yeah I'm aware that even just applying would prob be a mission with the number of applicants they prob get on a daily basis :)

The internship is in the US, they offer a software developer internship where you spend like 3 months in Redmond working on an actual project. The cool part is they pay for things like flights and visas and a whole bunch of other perks. I'd link their site but I'm on my phone atm.

Apply... but I hope you are good. I don't want you working on anything I have to use if you are crap:P

Lol, yeah I have applied but who knows how long it'll take to actually get a response hence the reason I thought I'd ask the forum if anyone has tried applying before :)

How much can you do as a grad on a software project for three months other than very bad things? No offence intended.

Edit: What I mean is that you can't accomplish that much in three months.

If they limit the intake, you may just be increasing the number of your competitors with that post. I think MS may deny your application if they see that... they aren't very good at sharing. You best adjust that caring / sharing / open attitude u have there:P

Do it man, you got nothing to lose.
And if you get in you can always change your mind if you don't feel like going anymore!
