I've been reading around this forum, and there is quite some talk of investing in passively managed funds like Satrix. I found this article on this blog was a good introduction:

I know it's just an extract from Sanlam, but general reading around that blog seemed quite helpful anyway.

Interesting about the percentage weighting in the Top40. Hmm lots for me to learn before I get going.
