Inverter & battery questions.

So I recently saved up enough money to start building my load shedding backup system, first bought all the wrong stuff which couldn’t work together then finally got someone who supplied and came to install the system by me. The wrong batteries and inverters I bought, I got from Brights, and after a bit arguing with them they eventually refunded all the stuff.

This is the name and specs of the stuff they installed by me, I will upload a photo of the setup as well if anyone more knowledgeable than me wants to take a look at it.
*Sunmagic Hybrid Pure Sine Wave Inverter 48v 5.5kw
*N Energy LiFePO4 Battery 100ah
Then there’s a circuit breaker box for the battery and inverter, I think the other one is a surge or lightning protector and the also the control unit which switches between AC and DC when the power goes on or off. And a new switch or two that they added to the original circuit box of the house, forgot to take photos of those.

So I just wanted to find out when it switches over to battery when Eskom power goes off, it switch immediately but there’s like a second or maybe half a second delay, you notice when it switch over because the lights will flash, it’s quick but it’s enough for my TVs, computers and internet to restart every time, which means loosing my connection until it reloaded or sometimes loose work I’ve done on the pc if I forgot to save it before the time. When Eskom power comes back on and the inverter switch back to main power the router and computers and tvs don’t restart or loose connection, it’s only when it switches to the battery. On the internet I read on the inverters manual that it’s supposed to take 8ms to switch either way, AC or DC, so I’m not sure if this delay is normal or if you can set the system or do something for it to switch over quicker without loosing power to the devices.

Then something else that’s bothering me a little, this don’t happen every time, but every now and then when the power goes off and it must switch to the battery it’s like the inverter dont switch over or switch itself off, only the inverter, the battery remains on without any alarm or errors, when this happen I just switch the inverter off and on again to restart it and then the power comes back on, nothing on any of the switches or surge protectors or on the main board trips, it’s just the inverter that needs to be restarted. At first I thought it was happening because I was running something that was consuming to much power therefore it switched off, but this seem to happen at any time, even during the night when there’s maybe a outside light on and the fridges and freezers, and have looked and inverter showed it was only drawing 1050watts, so I can’t think that this should cause a 5.5kw inverter to shut down. I don’t run geysers, kettles or anything that draws a lot of power, all my lights is LED.
So I’m not sure if this is again maybe something that needs to be properly set somewhere or if it’s just the protection system of the inverter that’s over sensitive, switching it off because it’s thinking something is wrong when there isn’t, or if there is something wrong somewhere that’s causing this.

So if anyone knows if it’s something that happens and I just have to put up with it or if it indicates that there’s something somewhere that’s not 100% right, oh and also about that quick delay when it switch from AC to DC, any info, help or advice would be appreciated like always!!

Read the manual and check for settings to switch it from APL to UPS, it'll be something like ac input range

The guy forgot to leave the manuals when they installed the stuff, hopeful he will bring it during the week otherwise I’ll go check for a manual online, the setting you’re talking about, is it a setting on the inverter or on that box where you put it on manual or automatic switchover?
Anyway I’ll find it, thanks for the help!

Inverter as that is doing the change over
 
It’s not black it’s actually clear, just looks black on that photo because of the flash. Anyway I think it’s a switch, I actually thought that was what switched between AC and DC but I might be wrong, I’ll upload a closeup photo of it quick. As far as I understood it when the guy installed it was that it is where you select manual or automatic switchover of power, it’s got a small toggle switch saying manual and auto then it’s got this round what I assume is a switch with a arrow on to switch between ac and dc. Why would you need that if the inverter is there to do the work?

Sounds like that is the problem with the delayed switch over.
Maybe for compliance as some hybrid devices aren't certified
