I just got a 3000w mecer inverter, and I see that the manual mentions that you need a fuse between the inverter and battery. Doing a little bit of research, this seem standard, but, while everyone is selling inverters and batteries, hardly anyone has fuses. Where do you all get your fuses from? And where do you fit them? Can you place them Directly onto the battery terminal?

Maybe something like this:
Please check with electrician

They are everywhere and comes in different types. Yes, you can place them directly at the terminal if it is designed in such a way, the closer it is to the battery, the better.

Or these

Thanks everyone for all the replies. This is really helpful and has given me a good place to start my investigations.
