Inverter needed for 550w pc and one light

Hello folks, apologies if this is posted in the wrong thread.

As the title says I am in the market for an very basic inverter for my pc and one lightbulb. There are a stupid amount of options out there (if not sold out). Have been warned away from Gizzu, and I don't know any other brands. Any suggestions for something decent that isn't hella expensive? Would like to get at least 2 hours runtime.

A gaming laptop isn't going to power the light you also need and you are not going to get much gaming out of a laptop at 15k, unless you find something relatively old second hand..

Anyway, I ask again, what is your budget..?

Unless you are comfortable with electricity and more or less know what you are doing, you are not going to get an already built, ready to go solution that will last you through a 2 hour loadshedding..

If you are comfortable with electricity and know what you are doing, you can cobble together an inverter, agm battery and charger for under 5k and knock it together yourself.. won't be pretty, unless you are d.i.y skilled to make it so, but will do the job..

Otherwise, pick up a generator and a jerry can.. good news here is, the petrol price may come down generously next month..

If you can't put together a solution yourself as others have recommended, you're looking at R10k - R15k at a minimum.

650w generator will easily power his PC, people tend to think 550w power supply will draw 550w, depending on the parts, it'll probably top out at 350. I mean my 3070ti, Ryzen 5600, 2 physical drives, 6 fans, 3 ssds tops out at 490 with God of War, that's including the 45w from the monitor.
But it is 2 stroke, so you'll need to mix the oil and petrol together

Yea but no AVR not so great for computers.

I had the Ryobi version, start it up, let it run for about 5 minutes plug things in. Worked fine for TV, Xbox and other stuff, besides being noisy.

Yea my MIL has a Ryobi, fine for months of use then blew up her pet hairdrier at a dog show. She was livid.

Anyway, I mean, AVR, no AVR, who want's to mix your own fuel?

True, look the 1.2kw would be the best option, but up to OP :)
 
Trust me your PC does not use 550 Watts of power
My gaming rig goes up to 130 Watts whilst gaming with my 1050Ti card

He is still not going to find an inverter that will run his rig for stage 6 loadshedding for under R5k
