How effective is charging when power is back but the pc is still plugged in and being properly used(gaming)
Depends on how good your charger is, you are effectively replacing what's lost from the battery while also powering the loads.

As an example, having a 10A charger while your load is pulling 8A will only leave 2A for charging the battery. Having a 30A charger will mean you are able to supply the 8A load, charge the battery and have amps to spare.

Every string has its end

ie inverter has a max amps it can pull , from grid so if you pull load close to its limit in grid mode it leaves less reserves for charing

On one of my inverters i could see a reduction in charging speed if i was pulling lets say 4000w from it

ie could charge at say 60A (3000w) and then charge rate would drop to 30-40A if high load was being pulled on inverter
And the moment load reduces the charge rate would pick up again (hybrid type)

While the other(off grid type) clearly has a higher limit i would see no reduction in charging speed while higher load

So you would have to see if your inverter has such peculiarities

But most people don't charge at those charge rates seldom do you need to have your battery full in under 2hrs so should not spoil the party

Ymmv as you get lots of different spec machines/types
