Inverter to power devices

Hi All,

I would want to power the following in our house:

1. Lounge - 1 x TV (Sony LCD), 1 x Amplifier & subwoofer, 1 x lamp, 1 x microserver.
2. Room 1 - 1 x Lamp
3. Room 2 - 1 x Lamp
4. Kitchen - Fridge

Would it be advisable to go for individual inverters, and if so, what size? How would they be used? Is it possible to simply plug those devices into them instead of a wall socket? Or is it better to go with a proper inverter? Not sure I have the appetite right now for solar panels to be installed on our roof.

Firstly a DB installed inverter does not mean solar panels, you can get an inverter and battery for backup without solar.

If you go for the portable type I would get one dedicated for the fridge and another for the electronics, purely for neatness because the fridge is over there and your electronics in other rooms, you don't want extension cords all over the place, it also helps with the peak power draw at startup for it to be on its own inverter.
 
You get something like this, I think it's very decent, if you can use your hands you can design one at a more reasonable cost.

Cool thanks. Do you simply roll it to where you want it to be and then plug your devices into it?

Personally I did not go for a trolly so mine dont roll around:

I have 2 extension cords that run into 2 rooms via the roof in conduits (Used conduits for network cables before WiFi 6)

My bedroom and office both get fed from the Mecer.

Why would you need a fridge powered during load shedding? It shouldn't warm up in 2 hours.
If you're only powering lamps in room 2 and 3, get Eurolux load shedding bulbs - R99 each, during normal usage they'll act like normal bulbs.
For room 1 you could either get a Mecer, Geewiz or any inverter, but you'd need to tell us the load of those devices for the lounge.

I have the trolley, with 2 100ah batteries in it, it doesn't move easily.
 
For the 2 rooms get rechargeable lamps. Much easier and more cost effective.
