Hi all
I have been working over the holiday periods for 2 years and tutoring here and there and have saved up quite abit of money. This money is however sitting in a student account not even earning interest.
I would like to put this money to work, Im looking to put it away for 3 years give or take ( I have to complete Honours this year and want to do masters next year thats why i chose 3 years)
I have been reading up on Allen Gray's Balanced/Stable fund as a potential option
I am still a student and still supported by my parents and partially self supported through tutoring etc.
Do you think this is a good idea, unfortunately I have 0 financial background and just as many friends in that field.
My mom sugested that i just throw it into a 36month fixed deposit at FNB (safer choice)
Thanks for help!
